Mobile Elevated Work Platform The Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) training program for scissor lifts, booms and manlifts takes 6-8 hours, depending on the skill level/experience of the participants as well as the number of students in the program. It consists of a half-day, classroom-based theory lesson, as well as a half-day practical lesson and assessment.
The theoretical portion of the program provides a general understanding of the safe and efficient operation of Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs). After completing this section of the program, participants will be able to identify specific health and safety hazards associated with operating manlifts and booms.
In the practical portion of the program, students are given the opportunity to operate a variety of mobile elevated work platforms under the supervision of the instructor.
After completing both parts of this program, the participants will be certified to operate Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs)
Prerequisites: Working at Heights (WEH)
Required PPE: Steel-toed footwear
