Ramp Test Services
Equipment North offers ramp testing services for commissioning underground mining vehicles.
Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, ramp testing is required for any vehicle being used underground for the first time, and testing procedures must meet standards set out by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).
Testing performed to ensure compliance with CAN/CSA-M424.3-M90 for rubber-tired equipment and ISO10265 for tracked earth-moving machinery.
The 200-foot ramp is built at a 20 percent grade and has an extended landing so vehicles can come to a safe stop in case of equipment malfunction or brake failure.
Testing Includes
- Use of test ramp for morning or afternoon.
- Supervision by trained test technicians.
- Complete ramp test documentation for your vehicle.
- Bulk material for loading vehicles to maximum capacity.
Testing is endorsed by both Vale and Glencore.
